Student Evaluation

Storefront students are assessed at the worksite, classroom and in the community.

Students' independence and work skills are evaluated through alternative reports. These reports are completed by Storefront staff and issued in November, February, April and June.

Students are also formally evaluated based on their work placement performance after five weeks on the job (mid-term evaluation). This evaluation is completed by the work placement supervisor. Information provided from this helps establish the goals for skill development for the remainder of the placement. A final work evaluation is completed after ten-week period, again by the work placement supervisor. Employers are asked to compare our students to their paid staff, to help us determine what employability skills they have acquired and what they still need to learn.

No grades or credits are given.
